Postcards from Chefchouen, Morocco’s Blue-Shaded Town

Perched high up in the Atlas mountain, Chefchaouen blue-shaded medina is bound to steal anyone’s heart.

With walls featuring different shades of blue and an endless array of artisan shops to browse through, this little mountain town was the first destination in Morocco that I ever set foot on. Fast forward a few years later, and I returned only to fall in love with it all over again!

One of my favorite aspects of this quaint town is the fact that you can shop around for unique items that are hard to find elsewhere in Morocco. Unlike Fez or Marrakech, the touts are not bad at all here and shopping or just stepping into shops to have a quick look around is a breeze!

If you’re lucky enough to be traveling to Morocco soon, make sure not to miss this gem of a place.

Since I was little, I knew that I did not want to work in an office and instead, I wanted to travel all around the world.

Throughout my travels, I have lived in a Maasai village in Tanzania, spent over a year working in a tiny river-side village in Thailand, taught geography to novice monks at a monastery school in Myanmar, climbed to see the world largest lava lake in the world in the Congo, traveled Africa by public transport, hitchhiked around Europe, and more!
