No.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t be discouraged, though. I&#8217;ve had the chance to visit Turkey several times already, and only one out of those times did I ACTUALLY plan a trip there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Turkey is set in what I would call the center of the Earth, so it&#8217;s very easy to plan to spend a few days in Turkey on your future travels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You could fly to Turkey from your country and then book a separate flight to your next destination, wherever that might be. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Does that make sense at all? My point is: 5 days in Turkey isn&#8217;t a lot, but if you&#8217;re an avid traveler, chances are you&#8217;ll be able to return to explore further, so don&#8217;t stress too much if you aren&#8217;t able to fit everything in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead, focus on making the most out of the destinations you&#8217;ll get to visit this time around, even if you only have 5 days in Turkey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5 day Turkey itinerary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"900\" data-id=\"12731\" src=\"https:\/\/nohurrytogethome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/5-days-in-turkey.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12731\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nohurrytogethome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/5-days-in-turkey.jpg 600w, https:\/\/nohurrytogethome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/5-days-in-turkey-300x450.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Days 1-3: Istanbul<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Three days in Istanbul are the perfect way to get a proper introduction to what this gem of a city is all about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seriously, there are so many incredibly <a href=\"https:\/\/nohurrytogethome.com\/beautiful-places-istanbul\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"8142\">beautiful places in Istanbul<\/a> that you&#8217;ll be pretty much spending the next three days rushing around a bit trying to get to see everything. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And it&#8217;s definitely worth the effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"950\" src=\"https:\/\/nohurrytogethome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Turkey-itinerary-3.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12725\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nohurrytogethome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Turkey-itinerary-3.jpeg 800w, https:\/\/nohurrytogethome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Turkey-itinerary-3-300x356.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/nohurrytogethome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Turkey-itinerary-3-600x713.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 1: Get a kickass introduction to Istanbul<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Day one might be a short one depending on what time you arrive in Istanbul. You can customize it to fit your needs and you&#8217;ll get to visit major attractions as well as hidden gems. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.viator.com\/tours\/Istanbul\/Istanbul-Full-Day-Private-Guided-Old-City-Tour\/d585-11522P1?pid=P00100908&amp;mcid=42383&amp;medium=link&amp;medium_version=selector\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BOOK HERE.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 3: Check out smaller gems<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There&#8217;s still plenty to do in Istanbul, but since we&#8217;ve already covered much of the main sights and attractions, you can definitely take things a bit slower today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To start the day off, head over to Balat to see the famous colorful houses in Istanbul and grab breakfast at the many vibrant caf\u00e9s in the neighborhood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another gem is Chora Church, located in the Edirnekap\u0131 neighborhood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This stunning Byzantine church is adorned with intricate mosaics and frescoes, and is considered one of the finest examples of Byzantine art in the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">End the day with a hammam<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, I highly recommend trying a Turkish Hamam.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Turkish hammam, also known as a Turkish bath, is a traditional public bathhouse that has been a part of Turkish culture for centuries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It typically consists of a series of rooms with varying temperatures and levels of humidity, and is designed to provide a relaxing and rejuvenating experience for the body and mind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s a great way to end your time in Istanbul, especially if you want to get recharged for the next leg of the trip! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can choose from three options: the standard, massage, or full package. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.viator.com\/tours\/Istanbul\/Aga-Hamami-Turkish-Bath-in-Istanbul\/d585-21991P1?pid=P00100908&amp;mcid=42383&amp;medium=link&amp;medium_version=selector\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BOOK YOUR VISIT HERE.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 3 (evening): Make Your Way to Cappadocia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>And onwards to explore a completely different side of Turkey: Cappadocia!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cappadocia is located about an 8-hour drive away from Istanbul, and even though it&#8217;s technically possible (and really fun) to rent a car and drive and do a <a href=\"https:\/\/thegapdecaders.com\/road-trip-in-turkey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">road trip in Turkey<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I do not recommend doing that this time around because, well&#8230; we&#8217;re kinda short on time! <strong>Instead, you have two options:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fly<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Flying is the best way to get to Cappadocia and it&#8217;s also pretty cheap to do it! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Turkish Airlines and Pegasus Airlines both offer several flights a day to either of Kayseri&#8217;s two airports, which are the closest to Cappadocia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flights usually range from $20-$40 USD and take just under an hour and a half to get there. From Kayseri, it takes around an hour to get to Cappadocia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Night Bus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re on a budget, you can also take a <strong>night bus from Istanbul to Cappadocia<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Granted, you won&#8217;t be saving that much money because flights are very cheap, but you will save a night&#8217;s worth of accommodation, so there&#8217;s that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Buses from Istanbul to Cappadocia are usually around 90L (10-12 USD depending on the current exchange rate).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take note that this is a long ride (10 hours or so), so if you are good at sleeping on buses, this might be a good bet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several companies run routes, and most of them offer comfortable seating, complimentary drinks and snacks, and charging points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pro tip: <\/strong>Take the bus from the Harem Bus Terminal instead of the main bus terminal.
